Lucas Brake Fluid DOT 4

DOT 4 brake fluid can be used in all standard brake systems. There are a few motorcycle models where 5.1 is a must, but otherwise this fluid is used in nearly all motorcycles for hydraulic brakes in front and rear as well as for hydraulic stock clutches. For clutch systems of Magura (Hymec System) a special oil is necessary.

Brake fluid is not only needed after changing your brake hoses, in general it is recommended to change it every 2 years. Especially don't forget to change also the fluid at the clutch hydraulics, because old fluid there is usually responsible for corrosion and a damage of the clutch cylinder.
